Navajo Code Talkers

NAVAJO CODE TALKER RECEPTION
10/30/08

Skipping Stone Studio was invited to capture a moment of history as the Navajo Code Talkers, who served an invaluable role in both WWI and WWII, were honored at a reception in Dallas.

The event, hosted by the Frontiers of Flight Museum at the Dallas Lovefield Airport, gave veterans the opportunity to reunite and share their courageous stories. Navajo Code Talkers used a code developed from their native language to transmit top secret information by radio to fellow United States troops.

Three of the 50 remaining Code Talkers attended and gave demonstrations of the Code, which was classified until 1968. There is no evidence that the transmissions were ever deciphered by enemy forces.
